25 Baptized at Cumbaya Church

Baptisms at Cumbaya Church in Quito, Ecuador

We are incredibly grateful for your prayers and support for CMI knowing the impact they have in seeing lives transformed by God through the power of the gospel.

Last month, the pillars went up on the new 900-seat worship center for the Cumbaya Church in Quito, Ecuador. It is incredibly exciting to receive pictures of the progress and celebrate the Lord’s provision for this church.

But as exciting as that is, what brings even greater joy is watching a video slideshow that the Cumbaya Church shared of some 25 people that were baptized by the church earlier this summer. If you have 3 minutes, I highly encourage you to take a moment to watch it. (Click here to view)

The joy on the faces of those baptized tells the story of why CMI exists. Certainly a big part of what we do is provide catalytic resources to help dynamic churches in capital cities obtain properties and build facilities. But these are just tools — tools that accelerate the advance of the gospel and lead to more and more Latin Americans experiencing a life changing encounter with God.

By His grace we are building the pillars of a physical church building, but God is building His Church in the hearts and minds of those touched and transformed by the power of Christ. That is the building project we are most excited about — and most grateful to be partners in with you.

In Christ,
