On Sunday, November 9, Norte Church in Quito, Ecuador held their first services in their new church home. It was a tremendous day of celebration made possible through the generous prayers and financial support of CMI partners.
Approximately 800 people were on hand in three Sunday morning services. Reports from CMI colleagues in Quito said that by the third service people were standing in the back and in the doorways. This day was the culmination of nearly three years of praying and searching for a suitable property for this dynamic church that has grown from 250 to nearly 800 in less than three years. The new location provides tremendous opportunties for ministry. It is in the heart of the city and nearby neighbors include a major cancer hospital, the U.S. Embassy, a large upper-middle class residential development, and 10 private schools including one of the most premiere high schools in the country.
